New Member Recognition Event

New Member Recognition Event

Each Golden Key chapter is tasked with hosting an event to induct new members. At these ceremonies, new members join their peers and are recognized for their achievements and are given a certificate of membership. The New Member Recognition Event (NMRE) allows attendees to network and meet student chapter leaders, other members, university administration and faculty and honorary members, as well as learn more about scholarships, member benefits and community service projects.

Our 2013 New Member Recognition Event (NMRE) was held on Thursday, April 25 at Logan Hall. Our key note speaker AND honorary member was Provost and Executive Vice President, Dr. Luther S. Williams. The event honored and inducted over 40 undergraduate, graduate, and veterinary medicine students at Tuskegee University. The Tuskegee University Chapter of Golden Key now has over 100 active members! A special thank you to chapter president, Lili Hicks, chapter vice-president, Randi Harrison, fundraising director, Amber Pratcher, public relations/awareness director, Taneisha Gordon, social director, Andrea Brown, recording secretary, Blendia Ball, and vp of membership recruitment, Alexandria Rouse. Thank you for upholding the three pillars of Golden Key International Honour Society: academics, leadership, and service.

We look forward to an exciting new year and planning for our 2014 New Members Recognition Event. If you have any questions about becoming a member of Golden Key International Honour Society, please visit our chapter website for more information.
